Strategic Employment Development Specialist

The Service Development Department is responsible for enhancing the employability of persons with disabilities. We oversee capability building of employers and job coaches to support the employment and retention of individuals with disabilities.
Job coaches provide tailored support based on an individual's strengths, needs, and workplace requirements. They assist in finding, securing, and maintaining meaningful employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Plans and Provide Support: Grow and facilitate Community of Practice (CoP) – a network of job coaches sharing best practices in supporting persons with disabilities at the workplace.
- Support Administration Operations: Raise profiles of job coaches, Community of Practice, and programs/workshops through marketing and engagement initiatives.
- Assess Skills Needs: Identify gaps in competency, systems, capabilities, and training by researching and engaging stakeholders in the sector.
- Develop Training Opportunities: Create courses, micro-learning workshops, and conferences to enhance job coaches' skills and knowledge.
- Grant Proposal Evaluation and Administration
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree holder with minimum 3 years of working experience.
- Familiarity with the disability sector or community building experience/teaching experience is advantageous.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Technologically proficient in using automation tools and collaborative platforms.
