Industrial Maintenance Specialist

The role of an Industrial Maintenance Specialist is crucial to the smooth operation of facilities. This position involves performing scheduled preventive maintenance on facility systems, conducting diagnostics and troubleshooting on equipment malfunctions, and repairing or replacing worn-out components, fittings, motors, and fixtures.

Maintenance specialists will be responsible for maintaining facility infrastructure such as walls, ceilings, floors, and roofs, inspecting and maintaining factory utilities including compressed air systems, water pumps, and drainage, and responding promptly to internal maintenance requests and urgent breakdowns.

Additionally, they will perform general handyman work, support setup or relocation of machinery, office furniture, or equipment, ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations during maintenance activities, maintain logs and documentation of service work, inspections, and repairs, monitor and report safety hazards, leaks, or electrical faults, and support emergency systems (fire extinguishers, alarms, emergency lighting).

Requirements:

  • NITEC / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Facility Engineering, or relevant technical field
  • 1–3 years of experience in facility or industrial maintenance
  • Hands-on knowledge in basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, maintenance manuals, and safety standards
  • Physically fit; able to climb, lift, and work at heights or in tight spaces
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
