Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Working with the Project Manager/Director and/or Tender Team to develop and deliver the project commercial strategy and form an integral part of the project delivery leadership team.
  • Building and leading a high-performing project commercial team.
  • Developing strong client and supplier relationships to avoid disputes and manage the project's commercial interests.
  • Leading all commercial activities required for the success of the project, including management of the head contract, administering subcontracts and supplier relationships, financial administration, claims management, and management reporting.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • A sound understanding of construction contracts and ancillary contracts such as Joint Venture Agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse contractual/legal issues and provide solutions through appropriate problem-solving techniques.
  • Sound commercial acumen accompanied by proven negotiation and inter-relationship skills.
  • Able to quickly grasp concepts and apply innovative options to the status quo.
  • Clear and definitive communication – written and verbal accompanied by competent presentation ability.
  • Tasks are to be completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Use of good verbal communication skills with both external and internal customers and business partners.
  • Demonstrate and effect a desire to help people.
  • Display a positive, proactive, and professional attitude.
  • Provide attention to detail.
