Job Title: Technical Superintendent

A seasoned marine professional is required to oversee the technical operations and maintenance of assigned LPG vessels, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of vessel technical operations to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
  • Coordinate and supervise routine maintenance, repairs, and dry docking activities to ensure timely completion and budget adherence.
  • Ensure vessels adhere to international, flag state, and class requirements (ISM, ISPS, IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL).
  • Develop and control operational strategies to improve vessel efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Conduct regular inspections, issue reports, and follow up on recommended actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to vessel crews on technical issues and promote a safety culture through training and mentorship.
  • Investigate technical incidents, identify root causes, and initiate corrective action plans to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Liaise with shipyards, vendors, and contractors for procurement and repairs, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Technical Superintendent managing LPG carriers or Chief Engineer at sea.
  • Diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Solid understanding of international maritime regulations and industry standards specific to LPG vessel operations.
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve technical and operational issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with ability to work effectively across multicultural teams and stakeholders.
