Job Title: Technical Superintendent

As a technical superintendent, you will oversee the maintenance and upkeep of vessels ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively.

  • Develop and monitor vessel maintenance plans to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Evaluate maintenance standards on board, reporting and executing breakdown/defect maintenance as necessary.
  • Manage vessel surveys, certificates, and timely inspections/dry dockings, including detailed written reports.
  • Handle incidents and accidents promptly, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures.
  • Maintain the latest versions of vessel plans, manuals, and operational documentation.
  • Arrange and manage insurance repairs, spare parts, stores, lubricants, paints, etc.
  • Prepare and monitor budgets for vessel operations with regular updates and cost control.
  • Ensure environmental, safety, and maintenance compliance across vessels.
  • Conduct vessel visits at stipulated intervals and submit detailed visit reports.
  • Coordinate activities between vessels and office teams.
  • Monitor daily vessel performance.
  • Implement company objectives for marine operations teams.
  • Manage marine casualties as per IMS procedures.
  • Appraise crew on board for vessels under their charge.
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Chief Engineer's Certificate of Competency.
  • Minimum 2 years of LNG/LPG sailing experience at management level or minimum 2 years' experience as a superintendent.
  • Good understanding of Dual Fuel Engines, LNG cargo containment, and handling systems.
