Vessel Operations Manager

The role of Technical Superintendent encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, encompassing the oversight and coordination of maintenance and technical operations across assigned vessels.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and monitor vessel maintenance plans to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Evaluate maintenance standards on board, including reporting and executing breakdown/defect maintenance.
- Manage vessel surveys, certificates, and timely inspections/dry dockings, including detailed written reports.
- Address incidents and accidents promptly, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures.
- Maintain the latest versions of vessel plans, manuals, and operational documentation.
- Coordinate and manage insurance repairs, spare parts, stores, lubricants, paints, etc.
- Prepare and monitor vessel budgets with regular updates and cost control.
- Ensure environmental, safety, and maintenance compliance across vessels.
- Conduct vessel visits at stipulated intervals and submit detailed visit reports.
- Cultivate collaboration between vessels and office teams.
- Monitor daily vessel performance.
- Promote company objectives for the marine operations team.
- Manage marine casualties as per IMS procedures.
- Assess crew on board for vessels under their charge.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
- Hold a Chief Engineer's Certificate of Competency.
- Minimum 2 years of LNG/LPG sailing experience at management level or minimum 2 years' experience as a superintendent.
- Sound understanding of Dual Fuel Engines, LNG cargo containment, and handling systems.
