Job Title: Senior Operations Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Operations Engineer is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of a water treatment plant. This includes monitoring and reporting on plant performance, compiling and analyzing operational data, and directing the operations team to take necessary measures to optimize plant operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical process technology or a related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in water treatment plant operations. They should be able to read engineering drawings and be computer literate, with knowledge of Microsoft programs and other relevant software.

Key responsibilities include proposing and implementing process optimization work, assisting the Operations Manager in preparing monthly progress reports, and serving as a secondary point of contact for off-taker and Owner on plant operation matters.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Polytechnic Diploma in Chemical Process Technology or Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or other related engineering fields
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of operation experience, preferably in Water treatment plant
  • Ability to read engineering drawings (ACAD) & P&ID, computer literate and familiar with Microsoft programs and other engineering software
  • Knowledge or experience in SCADA / PLC control operations
  • Command good analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Able to work independently and effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Possess good leadership and communication skills
  • Willing to support outside of regular working hours to support plant operational needs
