Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our chemical plant, utilizing their expertise in DCS (Distributed Control System) to control process parameters.

Main Responsibilities
  • Sound knowledge of chemical plant DCS operation to control process parameters for plant start-up, normal operation, and shutdown.
  • Apply chemical plant operation knowledge to follow documented procedures, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and EHS regulations.
  • Closely monitor DCS for alarms, analyze deviations, and respond according to documented process adjustment steps.
Requirements
  • Diploma or Nitec in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years' work experience as a DCS operator in a chemical processing environment, with experience in polymerization and/or extrusion being advantageous.
  • Possess basic knowledge of chemical processing and equipment, with working knowledge of ISO14001, ISO9001/IATF16949, and ISO45001.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work rotating shifts in a fast-paced environment.
