Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Naval Architect to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for the design and development of naval architecture projects.

Your primary focus will be on performing ship strength calculations, technical evaluation of vendor's bids, and preparing technical specifications for tender and equipment procurement.

You will also be involved in the prediction and assessment of shipboard vibration and cabin noise, underwater radiated noise, and perform naval architectural design/calculations (Hull form and general arrangement design, Hydrodynamic or stability calculations).

In addition, you will manage and check calculation/design of external design consultants, ensure that drawings/documents and material lists conform to contractual technical specifications, and liaise with shipowners and surveyors.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in Naval Architecture/ Marine Engineering or Structural Engineering
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in engineering design in Marine/Offshore/Oil & Gas industry
  • Good knowledge of international design codes, Classification/Statutory Rules and Regulations
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Aveva Marine or related 3D CAD software knowledge
