Job Summary

The Restaurant and Bar Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and bar, ensuring that all aspects of the business are running smoothly and efficiently. This includes managing staff, maintaining high standards of customer service, and ensuring that the restaurant and bar are meeting their financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing Day-to-Day Operations
    • Supervise and manage employees to ensure that they are performing their duties to the highest standard.
    • Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring that all guests receive a warm and welcoming experience.
    • Review staffing levels to ensure that the restaurant and bar are adequately staffed to meet customer demand.
  • Leading Food and Beverage Team
    • Utilize strong leadership and communication skills to motivate and inspire the team to achieve their best.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional customer service.
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the team, providing feedback and coaching to help them improve.
  • Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all guests receive a warm and welcoming experience.
    • Monitor and evaluate customer feedback, using it to make improvements to the restaurant and bar.
    • Develop and implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities
    • Provide guidance and direction to staff, ensuring that they are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional customer service.
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that staff are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to deliver exceptional customer service.
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of staff, providing feedback and coaching to help them improve.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; 4 years of experience in the food and beverage industry, or 2-year degree from an accredited university in a related field and 2 years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and financial management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a high level of collaboration and communication.
