JOB OVERVIEW

Prior to the commencement of operations, establish benchmarks and ensure that training yields a team proficient in all essential job functions, guaranteeing exceptional service from day one. Create unique cocktail and non-alcoholic beverage programs for the bar and dining area, with regular updates to keep offerings fresh. Design a comprehensive training curriculum focused on mixology, drink preparation techniques, garnishing, and glassware. Oversee the operations of the bar, lounge, and all beverage service areas, adhering to established standards while delivering outstanding guest experiences and maximizing satisfaction. Maintain thorough knowledge of all available liquor brands, wines, beers, and non-alcoholic options. Curate engaging and well-balanced beverage menus that are timely and responsive to market trends. Regularly sample wines and beverages, providing informed and constructive feedback on preparation and presentation. Initiate promotional activities that drive revenue growth and enhance customer engagement. Effectively manage beverage costs, operational expenses, inventory levels, and payroll. Ensure that all beverage operations align with marketing initiatives by delivering exceptional service to VIP guests and during special occasions. Supervise team performance, uphold standards, and hold team members accountable for their contributions. Formulate financial and operational plans that align with the strategic goals of the establishment. Enforce stringent hygiene and sanitation standards throughout all bar areas. Maintain close collaboration with all team members and support departments to understand operational workflows. Recommend hiring, promotions, and development opportunities for team members. Support the Director of Food and Beverage in the proactive management of the outlet. Collaborate with team members in service and beverage preparation to minimize waste and enhance productivity. Review operational outcomes with the team to identify improvement opportunities. Ensure compliance with accounting standards in all cashiering procedures. Monitor and reduce waste of consumables while maintaining labor productivity ratios. Uphold prescribed profit margins. Regularly inspect beverage service areas for cleanliness and adherence to standards. Observe guest feedback and engage with service staff to ensure customer satisfaction. Address guest comments, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, taking personal responsibility for resolution. Manage Human Resources functions for the Beverage Service Team, fostering a work environment that encourages teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, and employee satisfaction; implement quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that reflect the company's commitment to diversity; ensure compliance with company policies and legal standards. Oversee the coordination of reviews, disciplinary actions, team member recognition, flexible scheduling, payroll, and related tasks. Facilitate training for all staff as necessary. Coordinate inventory management and procurement of food and beverage products, supplies, and equipment. Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and departmental briefings as required.

Job Qualifications

Certificate or Diploma in Restaurant/Bar Management or extensive experience in Food & Beverage. At least 7 years of managerial experience in a reputable bar establishment, five-star hotel, or upscale restaurant. Experience in international beverage competitions is preferred. Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional languages is advantageous. Strong expertise in beverage preparation and service. Flexibility to work any day and shift. Professional appearance and grooming. Ability to perform effectively under pressure.
