Senior Project Engineer Role

This senior-level position plays a pivotal role in the development of detailed design documents, overseeing multidisciplinary teams, and conducting engineering calculations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and review engineering calculations for equipment sizing, material selection, and system design to ensure optimal performance.
  • Lead the creation of comprehensive design documents, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and system layouts.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams to integrate gas, chemical, and water waste systems into overall project designs.
  • Maintaining strict compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols for gas and chemical systems.
  • Performing risk assessments, process hazard analyses (PHA), HAZOP, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to enhance safety and reliability.
  • Assessing new technologies and engineering solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring high-quality design and implementation.
  • Managing project timelines, stakeholder communication, and procurement processes to ensure successful project execution.
  • Troubleshooting complex engineering challenges, implementing best practices for system optimization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 6 – 10 years of experience in engineering roles related to gas, chemical, or water waste systems.
  • Strong expertise in engineering calculations, equipment selection, and detailed design development.
  • Experience with process safety management (PSM), risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other engineering design software is preferred.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking associates.
