Managing Director Systems Engineering, Service

**The Role**:
The Systems Engineering Director reports directly to the APJC Service Provider VP and is responsible for delivering executive leadership to the APJC Service Provider Systems Engineering community. He/she will be accountable for driving transformation by advancing next generation capabilities, developing strategic business direction through market and competitive insights; and elevating our engineering culture and brand as the best in the industry.

This is a highly visible role, both internally and externally, that requires a highly collaborative leader who is comfortable working in a matrixed environment and can drive alignment with the APJC Service Provider leadership team, Cisco Product Engineering, and APJC Systems Engineering. This leader will be expected to have a point-of view that is shaped by the voice of the customer, market insights, and competitive threats that help shape our GTM strategies, the skills we will need to win, and evolution of our technical roadmaps.

The leader of this organization will be responsible for guiding the roadmap development of next-generation offers and technologies that are in alignment with Cisco’s priorities, business opportunities, and the shifting solution/consumption requirements of our customers. He/she will be expected to develop a pre-sales engineering team aligned to a simplified roadmap of whole offer solutions that integrate product, services, and software and focus on different routes to market.
