Platform Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced engineer to join our Platform Support Engineering team in Singapore. The candidate will be part of a team providing front line support for our quantitative trading platform.

The team follows a sun pattern, working alongside counterparts based in UK and US, to provide 24/7 monitoring and support for the trading environment, as well as collaborating with development teams to ensure reliability, maintainability, and performance of the production environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Serving as the first point of contact for production issues, support requests, and alerts
  • Investigating and resolving issues/outages as they occur and escalating when necessary
  • Collaborating with software development teams to ensure successful deployment of new code into production

Requirements:
  1. Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  2. Experience supporting applications in a Linux environment
  3. Experience developing tools and/or automating processes
  4. Experience with supporting FIX protocol
  5. An understanding of monitoring, and performance management
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  7. Strong ownership experience and a track record of delivering results
  8. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  9. Experience performing FIX certification/onboarding
  10. Experience with NFS and GPFS file systems
  11. Knowledge of storage devices
  12. Experience with application monitoring systems such as ITRS Geneos
  13. Experience with Control-M job scheduling
  14. Knowledge of q and kdb+
  15. Experience with AWS
  16. Experience with Docker
