Job Title: Data Centre Manager

Job Description:

  • Maintain and oversee the smooth operation of data centre facilities, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for efficient data centre management, including resource allocation and capacity planning.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT infrastructure and operations.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards for data centre operations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to staff members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in data centre deployments, including large-scale infrastructure design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in network routing and switching concepts and protocols, including BGP, TCP/IP, VLAN, ISIS, OSPF, and MPLS.
  • Comfortable working with Linux/Unix command line interface and troubleshooting skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and utilize creative problem-solving abilities under pressure.
  • Experience with Service Provider network hardware platforms and architectures, including routers/switches and data center switching platforms (preferred).
  • Field-based work experience in data centres.
