Job Title: Data Centre Critical Facilities Infrastructure Manager

Our organisation is seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead our data centre team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our critical data centre infrastructure and facilities, ensuring 100% availability of services.

  • The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers and specialists to achieve strategic and operational goals.
  • They will manage stakeholders and achieve corporate key performance indicators (KPIs) including sustainability awards and green mark certification.
  • Responsibilities include planning, operating, and maintaining the data centre to ensure it delivers its short- and mid-term objectives in a cost-effective and simplified manner.
  • The candidate will formulate work plans for optimal data centre running and manage the execution of these plans to meet approved strategy objectives.
  • They will oversee the smooth 24x7 running of operations in the data centre and manage all onsite operational incidents and major issues.
  • The candidate will also be responsible for managing critical facilities equipment and other equipment associated with the data centre environment.
  • Other responsibilities include generating periodic reports, reviewing and approving justified expenditures, formulating and executing preventive maintenance programs, and leading incident and change management to minimise impact on customer services.

Qualifications:

  • An appropriate qualification in engineering, with at least 15 years of relevant experience in a 24x7 critical infrastructure/data centre/telco environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring a team of engineers/specialists to achieve strategic and operational goals.
  • Possession of relevant data centre and/or facilities management-related certifications, such as CDCP or CDCS.
  • Familiarity with certification standards, such as BCM LEED Gold, ISO 20000/22301/27001, TIA 942, Uptime Institute Tier III, Green Mark, etc.
