Design Engineer Job Description

This role is responsible for designing and implementing data centre infrastructure solutions. Key responsibilities include developing design drawings and documentation, assisting the platform engineering team with contract drawing production, and providing power, cooling, and square meter availability assessments.

Additional responsibilities include creating technical designs for customer lifecycle activities, ensuring customer requirements are met within agreed parameters, and generating technical handover documents. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering and significant years of experience in mission-critical environments.

Strong knowledge of Auto-Computer Aided Design (ACAD) and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are required. Experience with data centre design, business critical infrastructure management, and data centre environment awareness is also beneficial. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, flexible, and able to work within deadlines.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering
  • Significant years of engineering experience in mission-critical environments
  • Strong knowledge of ACAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with data centre design and business critical infrastructure management
