Operations Specialist Airfreight

Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Executive/Assistant to join our team. As an airfreight operations specialist, you will be responsible for handling the full spectrum of airfreight operations, including booking, documentation, shipment tracking, and billing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle import and export airfreight operations, including booking, documentation, and shipment tracking
- Liaise with airlines, ground handling agents, transporters, and customs for timely cargo clearance and delivery
- Prepare and process shipping documents, such as AWBs, permits, invoices, and packing lists
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve any issues or delays with relevant parties
- Coordinate closely with customers and internal departments to meet service expectations and special handling requirements
- Ensure data accuracy and timely updates in the freight management system
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including job costing and billing verification
- Maintain proper filing and documentation in accordance with company policy and audit requirements
Requirements
- Minimum GCE 'O' Level or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in airfreight operations (import/export)
- Knowledge of airfreight procedures, customs documentation, and cargo systems (e.g., Cargowise, Tradenet) is preferred
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking associates in view of business communications
