Commercial Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Operations Manager to support our ship repair and conversion operations.

This role will be responsible for executing commercial strategies to meet revenue and margin targets, handling customer enquiries, and supervising a team of estimators and commercial invoicing officers.

  • Take charge of executing commercial strategies to meet revenue and margin targets for ship repairs and conversions.
  • Handle enquiries from customers and manage competitive quotations/tariffs.
  • Supervise team of estimators and commercial invoicing officers to ensure accurate and timely performance.
  • Follow up tenders with customers and negotiate contracts/projects.
  • Manage client relationships at our Singapore yard as required and submit reports.
  • Work with the Yard Operations team to maintain optimal mix of vessel types/scopes of work to maximise yard utilisation.
  • Ensure internal stakeholders adhere to contractual obligations and identify process improvements.
  • Assess risks and make recommendations based on analysis of business factors.
  • Provide functional and management support in Change management including negotiation and settlement of Change/Variation Orders.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering field or Diploma with relevant substantial experience.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in commercial roles at a Shipyard including estimation and invoicing.
  • Team management experience.
  • Conversant in Microsoft applications (Excel / Word / Powerpoint).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Power BI.
