Job Title: Branch Head

We are seeking a highly skilled Branch Head to oversee daily operations and lead our specialist teams in food safety, risk assessment, and outbreak investigation.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with experience in supervising diagnostic laboratories or research groups in related fields.

  1. Daily Operations Oversight: The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our specialist teams in food microbiology, virology, and bioengineering.
  2. Leadership and Development: As a Branch Head, you will supervise and lead operational reviews to implement strategies for improvement and optimisation of laboratory workflows. You will also mentor food scientists by planning and guiding their professional development.
  3. Research and Development: We are looking for someone who can explore research grants and lead food safety scientific research projects with stakeholders and collaborators.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in a related field such as microbiology, virology, molecular biology, or microbial genomics.
  • At least 5 years of experience supervising a diagnostic laboratory or a research group in a related field.
  • Familiarity with international food safety regulatory standards and good track records in scientific publications would be advantageous.
