Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for developing new mechanical designs and enhancing existing products through thorough verification testing.

Your primary duties will include implementing, analyzing, modifying, and testing semiconductor equipment according to overall system specifications. You will also lead all stages of the development cycle from design proposal to production release, maintaining accurate records along the way.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will be required to create and maintain Bills of Material, generate high-quality assembly drawings, and prepare assembly guidelines and requirements. You will also provide expert technical support to field engineers and customers during critical evaluations, including occasional international travel.

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Precision Engineering, or equivalent. A minimum of 5 years of experience in machine design relevant to machinery or high-precision automation systems is also required.

You should be proficient in 3D CAD modeling using Solidworks, with certifications like CSWE and CSWP preferred. Experience with finite element analysis software is also essential. Your strong expertise in at least two areas: structural and modal analysis, thermal-mechanical analysis, or fluid dynamics analysis will be highly valued.

Able to research and analyze design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and requirements, you will be able to take on the full design cycle experience, from proof of concept through prototyping, development, and commercial realization.
