Job Summary

Hao Mart is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen operations. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire kitchen and ensuring that our food products meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement menu concepts and recipes that align with Hao Mart's brand and customer preferences.
  • Manage and supervise a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, including food, supplies, and equipment, to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of food products.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and logistics, to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
  • Develop and implement training programs for kitchen staff to improve skills and knowledge.
  • Conduct regular kitchen audits to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Work closely with the culinary team to develop and implement new menu items and promotions.
  • Monitor and control kitchen expenses, including labor, inventory, and equipment costs.
  • Ensure that all kitchen staff are aware of and adhere to Hao Mart's policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of ingredients and supplies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Proven track record of success in menu development, kitchen operations, and team management.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations, including HACCP and food handling procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
