Senior Operating System Administrator Job

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Operating System Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our systems by administering and maintaining multiple operating systems.

About the Role

This is a senior-level position that requires a high degree of technical expertise and leadership skills. You will be working closely with our development teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex system solutions. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively will be essential to success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain multiple operating systems including Solaris, Linux & AIX platforms.
  • Design, implement, and troubleshoot complex system solutions.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and manage competing deadlines.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in Redhat, Solaris, AIX administration in DC and Cloud infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in Puppet & Ansible, Docker & Kubernetes, Centrify, IBM Symphony, and GPFS administration.
  • Expertise in AWS/Azure - VM deployment and management.
  • Deep knowledge of UNIX, Linux Server Support, and OS clustering, partitioning, and virtualization.
  • Ability to handle day-to-day Solaris, Linux & AIX operating system installation, migration, and break-fix support.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as RHCE, Solaris Certified Administrator, Oracle Linux OCA/OCP, Dockers certified, AWS System Administrator, or Microsoft Azure/AWS Solution Architect Certified.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
