Job Title: Senior Philanthropy Director

About the Role:

The Senior Philanthropy Director will lead the development and implementation of the philanthropy strategy, focusing on community upliftment and social justice. This role will require a strong network within the non-profit sector, grant writing, and fundraising expertise. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in nonprofit leadership, a passion for community development, and a solid understanding of philanthropic strategies.

Responsibilities:

Philanthropy Strategy:
• Develop a comprehensive philanthropy strategy that aligns with the organization's vision, mission, and values.
• Conduct thorough research and needs assessments to identify pressing issues and opportunities within target communities.

Financial Management:
• Develop a sustainable financial plan and resource mobilization strategy, including budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to establish clear financial processes and controls.

Community Partnership Strategy:
• Establish and nurture partnerships with various stakeholders, including social service organizations, government agencies, NGOs, and community leaders.
• Conduct thorough mapping of existing resources, services, and initiatives within target communities.

Advocacy & Engagement:
• Represent the philanthropy foundation in conferences, panel discussions, and public speaking engagements.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive advocacy and communication strategy to raise awareness about the foundation's work and impact.

Program Design and Management:
• Develop a comprehensive program management framework that encompasses all aspects of the foundation's initiatives.
• Lead the design and development of individual programs and projects that align with the foundation's strategic goals and community needs.

Requirements:
• Proven track record of at least 15 years in nonprofit leadership roles, with a focus on philanthropy, CSR, community development, or social services.
• Demonstrated success in creating and implementing impactful philanthropic strategies, particularly in underserved communities in Singapore.
• Strong network within the non-profit sector, including relationships with Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF)-funded social service organizations, local businesses, and community leaders.
• Solid understanding of grant writing, donor relations, and fundraising techniques.
• Passion for community upliftment, social justice, and making a meaningful impact on the lives of marginalized individuals.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Relevant Social Service, Social work, Counselling, Nonprofit Management qualifications highly preferred.
