Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Officer to oversee the delivery of facilities management and M&E services across assigned properties.

  • This role requires strong leadership and coordination skills to ensure timely completion of tasks, maintenance programmes, and repair works.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of technicians, planning and assigning daily tasks, coordinating maintenance programmes, and recommending equipment replacement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of technicians to maintain and improve building infrastructure, including Asset Enhancement Initiatives (AEI) and M&E plant and equipment.
  • Plan and assign daily tasks to meet performance standards and service quality expectations.
  • Coordinate maintenance programmes for buildings, AEI, and M&E plant and equipment.
  • Recommend and oversee repair works, renovations, and equipment replacement to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Prepare and review tender specifications for M&E works to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality of services, compliance, and adherence to safety procedures and equipment standards.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and provide timely updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaise with government authorities, consultants, and contractors on maintenance and compliance matters.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facility Management or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in hotels.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and external partners.
  • Good planning and organisational skills, coupled with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
