Job Title: Junior Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Kenzen Central PTE. LTD.

Job Summary:

The Junior Sous Chef will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, planning and assigning daily workloads, and monitoring food quality and consistency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Brunch style cooking and western cuisine, with formal culinary training and at least 3-4 years of experience in the related field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure daily kitchen operations run efficiently and effectively
  • Plan and assign daily workloads and schedules to team members
  • Monitor food quality, consistency, and presentation
  • Ensure proper purchasing, receiving, and ingredient storage standards
  • Guide, monitor, and train kitchen staff
  • Assist in kitchen operations, including weekends and public holidays
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ensure adherence to policies and standard operating procedures
  • Enforce high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation
  • Actively respond to and handle guest problems and complaints
  • Oversee purchasing to stay within budget
  • Ensure perishable items are stored efficiently to avoid wastage
Requirements:
  • Good knowledge of Brunch style cooking and western cuisine
  • Formal culinary training in Food preparation & Culinary management
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field
  • At least 3-4 years of working experience in the related field
  • Able to perform flexi shift and work in weekends and public holidays
