Job Scope

Marina Bay Sands is seeking a skilled and dedicated Commis Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef de Partie and Sous Chefs in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items, ensuring they meet the prescribed recipes and specifications.
  • Monitor the production of food items, adhering to all standards of food presentation, production, and portioning controls.
  • Ensure the quality of food items, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and sanitation in and around all culinary work areas.
  • Assist in the maintenance of a safe and healthy working environment, adhering to company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Participate in company trainings and learning opportunities, embracing a positive attitude and adhering to company philosophy.

Requirements

  • Degree/Diploma and Certification in Culinary Arts.
  • 1-3 years of experience in culinary arts.
  • Able to identify different kinds and categories of raw materials.
  • Basic cooking and sanitary knowledge.
  • Monitoring of basic cooking preparation techniques and utilization of knives.
