Job Title: Strategic Materials Sourcing Lead

Job Description:

Our organization seeks a skilled professional to oversee the procurement of materials. The ideal candidate will develop effective sourcing strategies, establish strong relationships with suppliers, and ensure high-quality and cost-efficient results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for material procurement.
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve the best value.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
Procurement Operations:
  • Manage the procurement process, including requisition, purchase order creation, and order tracking.
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet production schedules.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to optimize costs and reduce waste.
Quality and Compliance:
  • Ensure all procured materials meet company standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve any issues with suppliers.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Cost Management:
  • Develop and manage the procurement budget.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives and strategies to reduce procurement expenses.
  • Conduct regular market analysis to stay informed of industry trends and pricing.
Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with business goals.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior procurement staff.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a focus on materials sourcing.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sourcing strategies.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to procurement.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the manufacturing or production industry.
  • Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., CPM, CPSM).
