VP Total Portfolio Risk Manager

GIC, one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds, is seeking a highly skilled Total Portfolio Risk Manager to join our Risk and Performance Management Department. As a leading global long-term investor, we work collaboratively across teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the GIC Portfolio remains resilient and secure.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement advanced Total Portfolio Risk Management capabilities, enhancing existing risk management policies and control processes.
- Provide independent and objective views on investment risk and performance drivers, conducting global asset class-related research and analysis.
- Monitor and assess individual investment mandates, developing relevant frameworks and metrics to provide insights on performance drivers.
- Conduct scenario analysis and stress tests for select portfolios, assessing systematic risk drivers and risk concentrations.
- Graduate degree in an analytical, financial, and/or technical field, such as Economics, Finance, Applied Math, Statistics, or Engineering.
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in a quantitative or analytical role, with buy-side exposure preferred.
- Strong knowledge of macroeconomics, statistics, asset return modeling, and portfolio optimization.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Proactive individual with high self-motivation, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
