**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team at SMBC Group as a VP - Credit Portfolio Management, SPDA. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and handling all credit-related matters for a portfolio of accounts assigned, including annual reviews, ad-hoc reviews, waiver/amendment requests, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Monitor and handle all credit-related matters for a portfolio of accounts assigned, including annual reviews, ad-hoc reviews, waiver/amendment requests, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
- Be fully conversant with the Bank's credit procedures to ensure obligor gradings are accurate and appropriate.
- Undertake portfolio sensitivity analysis from time to time.
- Distill complex issues, analyze cash flows and financial models, and translate to meaningful, in-depth credit analysis and recommendations.
- Review loan documentation and terms sheets to ensure credit-approved terms are as per documented.
- Interface with front office/marketing teams, credit department, and internal/external auditors.
**Requirements:**
- Tertiary qualifications in a finance-related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years' credit risk experience with Structured Finance, Corporate Banking, or Credit Risk environment within a Bank or Financial Institution.
- Strong understanding and ability to interpret financial statements and complex financing structures.
- Good working knowledge of loan and security documentation.
- Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time.
- Team player and flexibility in work hours.
- Self-motivated.
