Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at THE FOREIGN PROJECT PTE. LTD. in Singapore. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality food according to menu guidelines and recipes.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and innovative chef to take on a senior role and contribute to the success of our restaurant. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for cooking and a keen eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chef De Partie: Prepare and cook high-quality food according to menu guidelines and recipes.
  • Ensuring that all dishes reach the hot plate or passe correctly garnished, the correct portion and size, presented on the correct serving dish in the prescribed manner.
  • Ensuring that all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time.
  • Supervising members of the kitchen team who are responsible to you.
  • Ensuring that junior chefs and trainees receive the right training and optimum guidance.
  • Helping to create good communication between floor and kitchen staff and within the kitchen.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Senior Chef or above.
  • Demonstrable skills in recipe development and menu innovation.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of kitchen operations and safety procedures.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
