Business Development Manager

In Singapore, our direct-to-consumer (DTC) platform allows customers to purchase their preferred life and general insurance products directly from our website, while our network of preferred Financial Advisory (FA) firms provides support for those who prefer to speak with an advisor before committing to an insurance plan.
As a Business Development Manager - General Insurance, you will play a key role in identifying channel business opportunities for general insurance partnerships based on market insights and proposing actionable plans to achieve sustainable growth.
You will develop, manage, and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new channel partners, ensuring regulatory compliance and business viability.
Key responsibilities include:

- Develop, manage, and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new channel partners, ensuring regulatory compliance and business viability.
- Assist and coordinate commercial partnership arrangements to ensure regulatory compliance and business viability.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of business propositions and processes.
- Ensure adherence to pre, during, and post-business propositions service levels.
- Manage and assist in ensuring all enquiries are attended to, conduct product training, and organize partner events.
- Assist or draft and review contracts for partnerships, including obtaining the necessary approvals and signoffs.
- Manages registration and administrative coordination of channel partners.
- Work with internal stakeholders, IT, Ops, UI/UX, and product for operationalizing new GI ecosystem partnerships and ensure day-to-day operations and sales monitoring for existing partnerships.
- Manage and assist in sales reports, generation of statement of account, and following up on outstanding premium.
- Analyze market trends and provide recommendations in accordance with market changes, aligning with company directions.

To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Possess Insurance Professional Qualification
- Minimum 5 years of experience in FI
- Knowledge of TSA, FA industry, and GI required
- Good exposure to TSA, FA, and agency
Additionally, you should have:
- Strong analytical and presentation skills
- Customer-centricity, collaboration, and teamwork
- Proficient in both written and spoken English
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Strong negotiation skills
We offer a competitive salary range of SGD $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career growth.
