Research Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join our research team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting and communicating research studies within the scope of a research project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply qualitative and quantitative research techniques to assess, interpret and evaluate research outcomes, conceptualise new ideas and develop plans for independent research that can significantly impact a relevant field.
  • Conduct methodology research on Bayes variable selection for statistical genetics and large-scale genetic analysis using statistical software.
  • Write and review research papers, present research outcomes and establish connections with local and international researchers for collaboration.
  • Evaluate and interpret collected data, prepare oral presentations or written reports/scientific manuscripts/literature for publication and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and recommendations.
  • Contribute to project management, guide junior researchers, undergraduate and graduate students, and perform occasional educational/instructional activities.

Requirements:

  • PhD in a related scientific area and/or post-graduate Medical Degree with at least 3 years' relevant research experience and training.
  • Demonstrated good knowledge, skills and expertise in linear algebra, linear mixed model, variational inference, statistical computing, and deep learning is required to achieve research excellence.
  • High impact publication experimental results.
  • Knowledge of the scientific background relevant to the research area.
  • Laboratory experimental skills.
  • Strong team player skills and the ability to work harmoniously with a diverse workforce.
