Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Assistant to play a key role in our research initiatives involving foundational Large Language Models (LLMs). The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in conducting research and collaborating on funded projects.

  • Conduct comprehensive research and collaborate with experts on interdisciplinary projects involving LLMs, including identifying, evaluating, and developing relevant technologies and resources.
  • Collect, normalise, and create datasets for training LLMs.
  • Analyse and interpret LLM results, evaluate model performance, and recommend methods for improvement.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or Computational Linguistics.
  • Strong knowledge of statistics, machine learning, and optimisation techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with modern LLM architectures and their applications.
  • Experience handling large datasets and strong database management skills.

About the Position

This is a one-year contract position, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and funding availability. As a Research Assistant, you will work collaboratively in a team environment and have opportunities to develop your skills and expertise.
