Research and Development Expert

As a Research and Development Expert, you will be part of a dynamic research team at the Singapore Institute of Technology, working closely with industry partners to drive innovation and advance our understanding of environmental science and geosciences.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as we embark on an innovative project to develop a web-based Ship Simulation and Optimization Software Platform. As a key member of the research team, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of this cutting-edge platform.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing naval architecture calculation and ship design tools based on analytical or empirical methods.
  • Creating a practical parametric model framework for ship and system design.
  • Carrying out naval architecture calculations, including stability, resistance, structural analysis, etc.
  • Optimizing ship and system design for electric ships.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Relevant experience in ship design and optimization.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
