Commercial Strategy Manager

As a Commercial Strategy Manager for FairPrice Group's Housebrand, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and commercial success of our food categories. With your flair for understanding insights and bringing new product launches and campaigns to life, you will be responsible for commercially managing key food categories under the FairPrice Housebrand banner.
The scope of work involves brand and category portfolio strategy and implementation, including upstream shaping of new product pipeline, applying packaging schematics, driving new product launches, implementing activations, and managing category commercial targets. You will be responsible for driving the growth and achievement of commercial targets for both brick & mortar and digital formats within assigned portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute category-specific growth plans, effectively managing A&P budgets to optimize returns.
- Analyze sales data to identify issues and highlight opportunities by category and by channel/format, informing strategic business decisions.
- Implement category plans, including new product launches and sales drive activations, to drive commercial success.
- Recommend new products based on market trends and data-driven insights, staying ahead of consumer preferences.
- Oversee new product packaging from market research to launch, ensuring seamless execution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, agencies, and channel partners to drive results-oriented strategies.
- Promote channel engagement for brick & mortar formats such as Hypermarkets, Supermarkets, Finest, and Digital Business.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Marketing.
- A minimum of 2 years relevant experience with brand/trade marketing experience in a FMCG company.
- Experience in food category is advantageous.
- Ability to generate actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data.
- Capacity to formulate robust growth strategies to achieve commercial targets.
- Proven ability to be hands-on and adapt quickly in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Resilience, agility, and ability to adapt well to changes similar to working in a new startup environment.
