The Emerging Systems Division is focused on developing technological solutions for defence systems. As a Laser Physicist, you will be part of this team and contribute to the development of high-power fiber lasers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the fiber laser team to develop and demonstrate high power fiber lasers concepts
  • Design high-power fiber lasers using physics-based models
  • Evaluate, select and characterise fiber laser components
  • Conduct experimental validation of laser design

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD, Masters or Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics, Physics, Optics or Photonics
  • Adept at developing or using physics-based numerical or analytical models
  • Experience with laser experiments
  • Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team
