Job Description\

We are seeking a highly skilled Conservation Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conserving and preserving artwork in our collection.

\Key Responsibilities:\

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, documentation, and treatments on artworks according to established procedures and guidelines.\
  • Manage exhibition projects, ensuring that all conservation-related aspects are addressed.\
  • Develop and implement preventive conservation strategies to protect artworks from damage and deterioration.\
  • Serve as a liaison officer between departments, communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.\
  • Collaborate with other professionals to enhance collection knowledge and artifact significance through research and conservation projects.\
  • Implement effective documentation and knowledge management processes to ensure accessibility and preservation of conservation records.\
  • Participate in outreach activities, committees, and events organized by relevant institutions and organizations.\
\Required Skills and Qualifications:\
  • \
  • A Master's degree in Conservation, preferably with a specialty in easel paintings.\
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in conservation, including supervisory roles and project management.\
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in English.\
  • Ability to lead, coach, and impart conservation skills and knowledge effectively.\
  • Familiarity with collections in Southeast Asia, modern, and contemporary artworks is advantageous.\
