**Conservation Specialist (Paintings)**

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the preservation and conservation of easel paintings from national collections. This involves conducting thorough assessments, documenting and treating artworks, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless execution of exhibitions and events.

**Job Responsibilities:**

  • Perform conservation assessments, documentation, and treatments on artworks and artefacts.
  • Manage exhibition projects as liaison officer, covering conservation-related and administrative aspects.
  • Contribute to the preservation and conservation knowledge of collections through relevant analysis and tests.
  • Supervise and train subordinates and others as required.
  • Participate in outreach activities to promote awareness of conservation among various audience groups.

**Requirements:

  • A master's degree in Conservation with specialisation in Easel Paintings from a recognised training institution.
  • Preferably 5 years' work experience as a full-time staff member.
  • Ability to perform comprehensive and complex treatments with high manual dexterity and aesthetic sensitivity.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to adapt to diverse cultural environments.
  • Possess initiative, multi-tasking, and organisational skills to meet deadlines.
