Indian Culinary Expert

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate culinary professional to join our team as an Indian Cuisine Specialist. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in preparing authentic North Indian dishes and a deep understanding of traditional cooking techniques and flavors.

  • Prepare a variety of North Indian soups, appetizers, curries, and Indian Chinese dishes for customers.
  • Operate tandoor equipment and prepare tandoor specialties such as naan bread, tandoori chicken, and other regional delicacies.
  • Develop and introduce new dishes as 'specials of the week' to keep the menu fresh and exciting.
  • Review and revise existing menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and maintain high standards of food quality using natural spices and healthy ingredients.

Kitchen Operations

  • Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation practices in the kitchen.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of groceries, vegetables, and meat to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Place orders for kitchen supplies as needed to maintain optimal levels of stock.
  • Implement effective planning to minimize food wastage and reduce costs.
  • Ensure kitchen cleanliness and compliance with relevant health and safety regulations.

Team Collaboration

  • Work well with service staff to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive dining experience.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure seamless kitchen operations during peak hours.
  • Support kitchen operations during busy periods to maintain productivity and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a North Indian Chef.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of authentic North Indian recipes and cooking techniques.
  • Proven experience in preparing Indian soups, appetizers, curries, and Indian Chinese dishes.
  • Tandoor cooking experience is preferred.
