Job Title: Master South Indian Cuisine Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced cook to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of authentic South Indian cuisine, as well as the ability to prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage food production, safety, and hygiene practices in the kitchen
- Develop and implement recipes for new menu items, ensuring authenticity and consistency
- Prepare and present dishes in a visually appealing way, highlighting their cultural significance
- Train and mentor junior staff members on traditional cooking techniques and kitchen protocols
- Collaborate with other chefs to develop innovative menu concepts and specials
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior culinary role, preferably in an Indian restaurant or similar establishment
- Extensive knowledge of South Indian cuisine, including its history, cultural context, and regional variations
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers alike
