**Job Title:** Chef - Authentic South Indian Cuisine Specialist
About the Job:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled chef to join our team as a specialist in authentic South Indian cuisine. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality traditional dishes, with a focus on maintaining consistency and quality across all aspects of food preparation.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and cook traditional South Indian dishes, using a variety of ingredients and techniques to ensure consistent flavor and texture.
2. Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
3. Monitor inventory levels and manage stock efficiently, minimizing waste and optimizing resource allocation.
4. Collaborate with other chefs and kitchen staff to develop new menu ideas and improve existing dishes.
5. Ensure that all dishes meet the required standards of presentation and quality, working closely with the sous chef and head chef to achieve this goal.
Requirements:
1. At least 7-8 years of experience in cooking traditional South Indian cuisine, preferably in a high-volume environment.
2. Strong knowledge of herbs, spices, and other ingredients used in South Indian cooking, including their properties and usage.
3. Ability to work effectively under pressure, maintaining composure and focus during peak periods and in fast-paced environments.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a dynamic team setting.
