Job Summary

This role under logistics and store department reporting to site director. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, with experience in freight rate negotiation, stock management, and schedule planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement best practices for logistics processes to ensure efficient supply chain management.
  • Plan, manage, and evaluate logistic requirements of different stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Liaise and negotiate with shippers, agents, and forwarders for movement of shipments through air and sea freight.
  • Coordinate and maintain good relations with vendors, customers, and arrange delivery of goods.
  • Establish and manage incoming and outbound procurement and distribution/shipping schedules to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
  • Prepare delivery orders, packing lists, and commercial invoices to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Monitor and timely payments of all duties and taxes to avoid any delays in supply chain operations.
  • Undertake packing and dispatch of shipments as per outlined specifications and handle stock items with care.
  • Ensure all documents are received, issued, and filed to maintain accurate records.
  • Update logistic documents in accounting software and other systems to ensure seamless integration.
  • Procure and order regular stock items to maintain inventory levels.
  • Monitor stock re-order levels to ensure timely replenishment.
  • Ensure safe handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
Additional Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily and monthly MIS reports to stakeholders on a regular basis and as per requests by concerned departments.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
Requirements:

  • Minimum 3-4 years' logistics management experience from marine industry.
  • Familiar with freight rate negotiation and cost comparison.
  • Stock management, replenishment, and schedule planning experience.
  • Basic procurement experience would be an advantage.
  • Diploma in supply chain or equivalent working experience in related field.
  • Good planning skills to plan and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in using ZOHO or other software.
  • Occasional support during weekends or public holidays may be required.
