About the role

The objective is to develop the candidates into future leaders of the company. At the start, new hires would be called Logistics Operations Executive on rotations and shall progressively meet expectations to become, a Team Lead in the Contract Logistics Department, a Logistics Analyst, or a Solutions Engineer, after successful graduation from the Programme.

The candidate will undergo a 12-months fast-tracked programme, with 5 rotations, to gain exposure and knowledge about our core businesses and how each function support and complement each other.

He / She will also be given the chance to apply what they have learnt, both from school and through the programme via a business case challenge.

The candidate is required to be creative, analytical and will have full autonomy to design and plan the business case project. He / She will also have a dedicated mentor and / or supervisor to guide them through the programme and business case challenge

What you will be doing

Operations

  • Understanding of key processes, material flow necessary to fulfill day-to-day operations.
  • Develop technical understanding of types of Material Handling Equipment (MHEs), other Warehouse equipment (e.g. Racking) and their suitability for the account or Warehouse
  • Analyze and evaluate on productivity and efficiency of current processes
  • Exposure to external stakeholders and learning of how to manage client relations.
  • Exposure to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) / related software
  • Develop knowledge of required documentations and key performance indicators that are guiding the business flows and functions.
  • Develop knowledge of WMS functionalities, supporting tools (e.g., Structured Query Language (SQL), Power Query, etc.)

Client Relation Management & Systems

  • Exposure to external stakeholders and learning of how to manage client relations
  • Exposure to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) / related software
  • Develop knowledge of required documentations and key performance indicators that are guiding the business flows and functions
  • Develop knowledge of WMS functionalities, supporting tools (e.g., Structured Query Language (SQL), Power Query, etc.)
  • Knowledge and application of Project Management tools, such as DMAIC to design and document a project that provides productivity gains, cost savings, etc.
  • Lead and manage the delivery of assigned scope of the project, end-to-end

Requirements

The successful candidate

•Bachelors or University Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent

•Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimum supervision on multiple projects within cross-functional teams

•Strong computer and digital skills e.g. Microsoft Office 365 products (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint), apps (Power Query, VBA) and services

•Proficiency in presentation skills, verbal and written communication in English is required
