Job Title: Quality Health Safety and Environmental Advisor

About the Role:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards for QHSE.
  • Lead and promote safety programs, develop training materials, and collaborate with management to meet regulatory standards.
  • Oversee the development of policies and procedures, manage inspections, and conduct risk assessments to minimize operational disruptions.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and assess risks arising from the workplace or work processes, conduct hazard and risk assessments, and implement actions to eliminate or mitigate hazards and risks.
  2. Deliver QHSE inductions, toolbox talks, and relevant training sessions to ensure employees are properly trained and supervised.
  3. Investigate workplace injuries, conduct root cause analysis, accurate reporting, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  4. Develop, implement, and maintain QHSE management systems, lead QHSE programmes across the organisation, and manage contractor safety requirements.
  5. Lead investigations, resolve observations and non-conformances, demonstrate an excellent environmental and safety behaviour, and maintain records of internal QHSE audits.

Requirements:

  • A degree/diploma in workplace safety and health, quality management, or a related field.
  • Recognised qualification in Quality Management (e.g. ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, IRCA-certified).
  • Registered Safety Officer with the Ministry of Manpower is advantageous, certified Internal Auditor in ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
  • Proven experience in a QHSE advisory role, strong knowledge of QHSE regulations and standards, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using QHSE management software and tools, self-motivated team player, good communication skills, and competency with Microsoft applications.
