**Position objective and summary**
The QHSE Manager supports the Company’s Policy of operating in compliance with the relevant Occupational Health & Safety and Environmental legal and other requirements, and the Company’s commitment to meet and exceed the Clients’ expectation is Health & Safety and the Environment, and Quality of Services provided.
- Provide Leadership to oversee and direct the QHSE Dept.
- Manage Compliance to WSH & Environmental Legal & Other requirements.
- Manage Assurance to Clients’ with respect to Quality, WSH and Environment.
- Monitor and Manage Assurance Certifications including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and BizSafe.
**Main tasks / activities / responsibilities**
- Act as the Company’s Appointed Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO).
- Carry out HSE Inspections of the Workplace;
- Act as Secretary to the Company’s WSH Committee.
- Investigate Non-compliances to the Company’s compliance obligations, including Workplace Safety & Health incidents, Environmental impacts and failure to meet the Clients’ expectations on quality of service provided. Prepare report of findings, including recommendations to prevent recurrence and implement approved course of action.
- Develop and Manage the Company’s Risk Management Procedure;
- Develop, recommend, and implement QHSE Promotion activities. Conduct QHSE presentations and training to employees as required.
- Develop & Monitor the QHSE requirements of Projects including QHSE Plans, Emergency Response Plans. Attend Client QHSE Meetings as required.
- Assistance to the whole Team with Clients’ QHSE requirements and compliance, including client QHSE Audits.
- Develop and Monitor the implementation of the Company’s Safe Management Measures (SMM) i.e. Pandemic Control Measures, until such Measures are no longer legally required.
- Monitor and advise on Industry Best Practices which the Clients’ may require, including Advisories or Recommendations published by WSH Council, ASMI, IMCA, IOGP, ADCI, & CDA(S);
- Develop and Maintain the Company’s QHSE Management System (QHSE-MS) in conformance to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and BizSafe Star requirements, including managing its implementation by conducting internal audits, investigating non-compliances and promoting continuous improvements.
- Reviewing reports which will be submitted to the client.
- Arrange and attend mandatory site visits to ensure QHSE issues are followed in accordance to client’s/site
- requirements.Updating and maintaining safety KPIs to super oil majors and relevant clients.
**Job requirements - QUALIFICATIONS (professional, technical, academic)**
- Holds a Degree from any discipline. Extensive professional experience may be considered in lieu of a Degree.
- Registered as a Workplace Safety & Health Officer (WSHO);
- A minimum of 5 year’s practical experience in the fields of Occupational Health and ISO 9001 Quality Management.
- NEBOSH IGC/IOSH certification is preferred
- ISO 45001:2018 Lead auditor
- Certified IMS Internal Auditor is preferred;
- Experienced in Projects with Marine and Oil & Gas Industry clients.
- Knowledge of and ability to use management concepts and principles including goal setting, planning and execution.
- Ability to develop and implement Company QHSE Management System and company principles.
- Knowledge of regulatory agency, client and subcontractor QHSE requirements.
- Reasonable Knowledge of onshore and offshore construction techniques and the ability to recommend safe work practices.
