Pastor for Dialect Ministry is an exciting opportunity to serve as a spiritual leader and shepherd for our dialect-speaking congregation.

We are seeking a qualified candidate who can oversee the Lutheran Service of the Word and Sacrament, providing pastoral ministry to our members. This includes preaching, organizing fellowship events, conducting funerals, and visiting members in their homes or hospitals.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Preaching: Preach 1-2 times per month, sharing the Gospel with our congregation.
  • Fellowship and Outreach: Organize regular fellowship events and outdoor activities for members, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
  • Ministry Leadership: Train and mentor the Ministry Leadership Team, equipping them to lead worship services, scripture readings, and cell groups.
  • Visitation and Counselling: Visit members in their homes, hospitals, or nursing centers, providing pastoral care and support.

Requirements:

  • Education: A diploma or degree in theology or biblical studies is preferred.
  • Experience: A few years of church ministry experience, preferably with a Hokkien-speaking congregation, is necessary.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are essential. The ideal candidate should be able to interact effectively with people at all levels, build strong relationships, and demonstrate a passion for discipleship and outreach.
