">Electrical Power Systems Design Expert

This is a senior electrical design role where you will be responsible for the design and development of electrical power distribution systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and excellent drafting skills.

  • The primary responsibility of this role is to develop detailed designs for electrical power distribution systems including power distribution panels, circuit diagrams, single line diagrams and component selection.
  • You will use CAD software to draft electrical designs including circuit books of wiring, equipment layout and routing designs.
  • Developing Bills of Materials and Scope of Work documents to support procurement of equipment for bids and projects will also be an essential part of this role.
  • Another key aspect of this position is updating design documents based on instructions from others such as project design authorities, as-built comments from installation and testing teams or customer comments.
  • Preparing and reviewing test procedures related to designs you have produced, and supporting investigation of issues raised during testing will also be required.
  • Additionally, there may be opportunities to support factory and site activities such as surveys and investigations if the need for an expert arises.

Requirements:

  • A minimum polytechnic diploma in electrical engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • A minimum of 6 years relevant experience with more years considered for a senior position.
  • Experience with 2D and 3D drafting tools such as AutoCAD, Microstation, Solidworks, BIM 360, or Revit MEP.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, writing and verbal skills, people supervision skills.
  • Willingsness to work at Tuas area with transportation pickup at designated MRT station.
  • Preference given to those with experience in Bentley's Open Building / Microstation software.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent technical skills and experience in electrical design and drafting. You should also be able to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
