Job Description

Our company is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our global logistics operations. This pivotal role will oversee the execution of end-to-end ocean freight and distribution strategies across multiple international trade lanes, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and resilience in the supply chain.

The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing global ocean freight strategies, leading contract negotiations, and managing relationships with shipping partners and logistics providers. They will also oversee full shipment cycles, from origin to final destination, across multiple regions, while ensuring regulatory compliance and developing contingency plans to mitigate operational risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute global ocean freight strategies to support business objectives.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage relationships with shipping partners and logistics providers.
  • Oversee full shipment cycles, from origin to final destination, across multiple regions.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and develop contingency plans to mitigate operational risks.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field; postgraduate qualification a plus.
  • At least 10 years' experience in global ocean freight management, ideally in high-volume consumer products.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing international networks.
  • Proven ability to optimise costs while maintaining service quality.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs processes.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Track record in implementing technology-driven process improvements.
