You will be part of the Global Fulfillment, Logistics and Trade (GFL&T) procurement organization and work as a Procurement Category Lead with a high visibility across the GFL&T and Global Operations leadership team and be responsible for managing the procurement of our Global Inbound Ocean expenditure

**You will**:

- Executing strategic sourcing plans that enable the sustainable achievement of our cost improvement and service level goals
- Developing an external reference framework for key cost drivers within the Ocean Freight category and keeping abreast of market dynamics that will ensure a continued advantaged position for Dell
- Managing an analytics suite of key Ocean Freight metrics / indices and synthesizing such to provide key market insights in the management of the commodity
- Progressing productive working relationships with our key suppliers and enable supplier innovation through the leadership of a multi-tier supplier relationship strategy
- Leveraging advanced negotiating techniques, as appropriate, in commercial, contractual and service level dialog with suppliers

**Essential Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field (MBA or post graduate degree preferred) Appropriate levels of experience (10 years+) will be accepted in lieu of meeting educational requirements
- 3 year+ specific commodity experience in the management of ocean procurement within a 3rd party forwarder environment or in a high volume ocean shipper
- Exceptional analytical capability to digest complex data and derive appropriate and meaningful business insights

- Strong influencing skills and ability to build lasting relationships internally & externally and influence across multiple layers of the organization
- Distinctive problem solving leadership
